Although I admit to using Lysol antibacterial products and Dawn dishwashing liquid, I won't deny that green cleaning supplies are better for your home, health, and the environment. They are also more cost-effective.

3 Frugally Green Cleaning Tips

  • You can get buy a bottle of apple cidar vinegar from Wal-Mart for less than $1, which will remove grease stains from pans and shine your stainless steal sink like a charm.
  • Add salt to a water/vinegar mix to remove stubborn stains from the bathroom tub and sink.
  • Use a spray bottle of hydrogen peroxide to remove blood stains on clothing or carpet. Spot test in an inconspicuous area first, as hydrogen peroxide can bleach certain materials.
